CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our CIT (Counselors-In-Training) program is offered for 16 & 17 year-olds. This program requires an application and interview. It is designed to introduce young people interested in becoming camp counselors to leadership skill-building, public speaking, program design and child development. This is a 2-week program. Multiple sessions are offered each summer.

CAMP FACILITIES: Please visit: Our Camp Website Link: jumonville.org Jumonville offers co-ed, resident camps in summer months, and retreat space year round. It is United Methodist affiliated, and open to all Christian denominations. Lodging ranges from luxury private rooms to family-style lodges and cozy cabins, with delicious meals for up to 350-400 guests. The Inn and Lodge have kitchens, lounges, fireplaces. Cabins have lounge/common area and 16-24 beds, mini-fridge and coffeepot/or full kitchen.

Outdoor sports facilities include basketball, volleyball, sand volleyball, baseball/softball, tennis, swimming pool, soccer, archery, shuffleboard, mountainboarding, & an 18 hole disc golf course. Multiple hiking trails, campfire sites, and sports fields are located throughout the campus. Ga-Ga ball, and 9-square in the air are also offered.

Also, Dining Hall, several meeting rooms, large indoor stage area, Adventure Center for indoor rock climbing and rappelling, Snack and Gift shop, Chapel, and 2 picnic shelters are available. Three challenge ropes courses, and an indoor Adventure Center serve our most popular programs for rock climbing, individual and group initiatives.

At the end of an exciting day, there's nothing like sitting by the campfire, looking up at the stars, and seeing the awesome sight of The Great Cross shining into the night. And website visitors will love to see the changing seasons and day to day beauty of the Cross from morning until evening via webcam.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Every week has multiple camps with a focus on arts, adventure, sports, sampler and family camps. Other camps/activities not listed above include: Fishing, Autism, Games Camp, Geocaching, disc golf, Mommy/Daddy & Me - or grandparents, Family Adventure, Special needs, Special needs Adventure, over 20 adventure camps, from basic to advanced - rock climbing. Also, Youghiogheny River raft/canoe/ducky water sports, caving, biking, hiking, mountainboarding, team building, 3 ropes courses, including low and high elements, King Swing, Zip line.

Jumonville exists to share the Christian faith with all who come. The dedicated staff and volunteers operate a summer camping program that is well known for its variety and quality. Interactive worship, Bible study and discussion groups are interwoven throughout programs that highlight Adventure, Sports, Arts and Sampler camps for all ages. Camper-counselor ratios are 4:1 and include both paid and volunteer counselors who are screened and trained prior to working with campers. Camp is a place to learn, grow, and enjoy the great outdoors. Campers learn confidence, caring and social skills, spiritual lessons and personal growth in a community of encouragement. Not only is it challenging and fun, the Jumonville Adventure Program is an outstanding tool for building teamwork, confidence, and problem-solving in life-changing ways.

Children, youth, adults and families may come for a week of recreation, inspiration, and adventure for a very reasonable rate. In addition, scholarship help is available for those who want to come, but the full cost would be a hardship.
It is easy to step back in time while exploring the area's rich history and heritage. Jumonville Glen was the site of George Washington's first battle, and a small museum of artifacts has been preserved from the French and Indian War that followed.

In addition, the state operated an Orphan School on the property after the Civil War. The beautiful campus, 19th century stone buildings, and flagstone walkways reflect the rich past of this mountaintop, and yet still offer exceptional lodging, comfort and modern conveniences. Camp has always been a great way to make new friends, grow in faith, and experience the best fun of the summer with something for everyone to enjoy!

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CIT Weekend in April, and week-long training in June. If approved, this qualifies participants to volunteer for other weeks of the summer camp program based on need, interest, and availability.

CAMP FACILITIES: At Notre Dame we have access to two air conditioned gyms and an outdoor swimming pool for recreational swimming throughout the day. Easy drop off and pick up right outside the gyms doors. At Cardinal O'Hara we will use their newly renovated gym which also has easy drop off and pick up right outside the gym doors.

CAMP FACILITIES: Conshatawba is a Resident Camp that specializes in The Arts and Adventure. We have a ceramics and pottery program, arts and craft building, theater stage,pool, climbing rock wall and zip line, low ropes course, archery field and numerous sports fields. Conshatawba has beautiful lodges, platform tents, and cabins for lodging.Girls attend themed weeks of camp throughout the summer with this year's most popular sessions being a Percy Jackson session and a Hunger Games themed session. Conshatawba offers resident camping for girls ages 8-17 as well as family sessions.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Conshatawba has adventure programming specializing in backpacking trips. Conshatawba offers a 4 sided climbing tower and zipline. Conshatawba also focuses on the arts with an indoor theater and arts studio.

Our camps are staffed with activity specialists, a cook, a health supervisor and specialty staff for adventure programs. Staff members are carefully selected for their skills as well as how they work with children and adults. They participate in weeklong training sessions where they earn appropriate certifications. Camp Conshatawba offers programming for Girl Scouts to build girls of confidence, courage and character.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp America provides a comprehensive day camp program that promotes the social, cultural, physical and emotional development of children, ages 2 1/2 to 15. we recruit the best counselors and supervisors to help campers as they learn, laugh and play. We offer activities in the best environments possible. We strive to give campers a fun and nurturing experience, enhanced self-esteem, friendship skills, greater independence and a sense of their creative potential. Camp America is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), an award held by only 25% of camps nation wide. Camp America enjoys an excellent reputation because we hand pick the best people to serve you and your family. Many of our counselors are state certified teachers. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our CIT (counselor in training) program is a learning and transition program for 13, 14 and 15 year-olds. CIT's are organized into groups of 15 boys or girls and get to experience the best of two world's at camp. The counselors for these groups are chosen for their mature, yet youthful, outlooks. A CIT day encompasses work experience, bunk activities including lunch and swimming, as well as sport and recreational periods. CIT's work with both specialist and bunks developing leadership and organizational skills. Daily bunk-time activities include co-ed games, group meetings and discussions, swim and water games, as well as, other recreational opportunities. As the oldest campers, CIT's are rewarded with day trips and after-hours activities supervised by their counselors, division leaders and other staff.

Chestnut Lake has been designed to emulate the traditions and excellence of Trail’s End while providing your family with the flexibility of 3-week or 6-week alternatives. In 2008, Chestnut Lake opened its gates as the Northeast’s premier session camp located in the northeast corner of Pennsylvania, just 2 ½ hours from NYC and Philadelphia.

Chestnut Lake offers boys and girls a brand new, state-of-the-art facility along with creative day and evening programming. Chestnut Lake is an all around camp with a strong sports program. CAMP FACILITIES: We have a modern dorm and two modern longhouse facilities, as well as two more rustic dorms. We have a large Dining Hall facility, and a brand new Children's Ministry Building (fit for indoor sports and recreation, as well as meeting places). Additionally, the camp has 200 privately owned cottages, three large RV lots, a large soccer field and baseball field, disc golf and mini golf courses, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and a gaga ball pit. There are two tabernacles, the Main Tabernacle and Youth Tabernacle, for services. The Susquehanna River serves as a great place for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mahaffey Camp offers a variety of programs, from summer youth camps and family camp to year-long retreats and events. Our staff is a dedicated group of people who are passionate about serving campers of all ages and leading them to a vibrant experience with God. Our mission is "to reach others with the Gospel and teach them about the Lord." Mahaffey Camp aims to be "A Christian Center for Spiritual Growth." Mahaffey Camp is a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Those who wish to be considered as Counselors or Jr. Counselors should contact the camp office promptly, as available positions fill up quickly. Counselors and Jr. Counselors are required to attend a mandatory Counselor Training weekend, held at the end of May or beginning of June. Teen Counselors and Jr. Counselors are expected to attend a youth camp of their own age group.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Mahaffey Family Camp takes place during the last full week of July every year; in 2018, the dates are July 20 through 29. Events and services are offered for all age groups throughout the 10 days. Special events include a 5k race, Motorcycle Rally, Missionary Rally, Women's Day, Children's Penny Parade, Baptismal Service, and Gospel Concert. The camp store and Dining Hall are open for meals every day, and the craft store (selling merchandise and handmade crafts to benefit camp) is open daily. Dorm Accommodations are available, as well as RV and tent sites. Different types of services are offered, including Adult morning and evening services, prayer and healing services, Teen morning and evening services, Children's ministries, and Fresh Breeze afternoon service.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Youth Camps are held in the summer, while many retreats are held throughout the rest of the year. Mahaffey offers a variety of different retreats and events, including Applefest, Quilt Retreats, Scrapbook Retreats, Men's Link, Prayer Retreat, Mother / Daughter Retreat, REPLENISH (youth winter retreat), and private horsemanship lessons. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CIT Program: A CIT candidate must submit an application with two personal references and a medical reference. Space is limited for this position.

The role of a CIT is to assist counselors while working with younger campers. The CIT Program provides training for youth interested in working with kids, specifically as camp counselors. Participants are expected to interact thoughtfully and compassionately with younger campers; to commit to learning more about themselves, camp, and camp procedures; to be team members and to take on responsibility and leadership. CITs also have the opportunity to learn a basic understanding of diabetes and its care.

The primary goal of the CIT Program is to offer a fun and supportive experience that will develop confidence, commitment, and community. The program focuses on helping youth become future leaders by developing communication, teamwork and leadership skills. CITs will leave ready to become camp counselors.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our cabins are nestled in the woods, on a lake, and each one has a bathroom with two sinks, two toilets, and two showers. Our dining hall is large enough to seat the entire camp, so we are able to eat all of our meals as one big family. Lake Owego Camp is owned by the Black family, who has been operating youth summer camps longer than almost anyone else. In 1931, Hughie and Selma Black founded Pine Forest Camp, which grew over the years to become a nationally recognized co-ed camp. Building on that success, Lake Owego for boys was opened in 1961, and our sister camp for girls, Camp Timber Tops, was opened in 1963.

Today, the third-generation and 4th generation leadership of Mickey and Barbara Black, and their children, Lee and Anna, carry on the family legacy, earning awards such as "Family Business of the Year" and serving as active leaders in the American Camping Association of America.

Directors John and Rachel Waszczak, Kyle Silver, Jeff Freedman and Shelly Silver have over 90 years of combined camp experience, and they work together a fantastic camp experience for each and every Lake Owego camper.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Campers going into 11th grade take part in our Counselor Assistant program, which includes opportunities to assist in teaching activities, assist in younger bunks, go on college tours to NY, MD, PA, MA, and a 2 week trip to Costa Rica. The Costa Rica trip is included in the camp tuition, and the campers will get to explorer and see the sites, go on a canopy zip-line tour, and hike around a volcano, as well as train for and put on a 1 week camp for underserved local children. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
The counselors have the most direct impact on a child’s experience at camp. We are seeking dedicated, fun, enthusiastic staff who understand that “Campers Come First.” Counselors must be at least 18 years of age or have graduated from high school. All counselors will teach in one of our program areas and co-lead a cabin of 8-12 children. Pay is $250-$275 per week depending on experience.

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers sleep in cabins or dormitories and are invited to join us for camp activities such as archery, bocce ball, arts & crafts, music & Bible, mini golf, group games, and chapel. Our facility sits on a beautiful clear lake, providing the opportunity for optional waterfront activities including wading, swimming, and boating. We have wheelchair accessible hay-rides, swimming, boating, bocce ball courts, archery range, playground equipment, and pedal carts, and more. We also have multiple full ADA restrooms with zero entry showers and ceiling lifts.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Shepherds Camp has been providing full-care overnight camp for teens and adults with developmental disabilities for 60 years!

The safety and proper supervision of all campers is our staff's greatest priority. Our 'Protective Oversight Plan' ensures that every individual has a safe stay at camp.

Each year our camp is inspected by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Broome NY Developmental Services. Shepherds Camp has been approved by the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) to care for adults with developmental disabilities. The approval process includes a full review of our facilities, policies and procedures, and protective oversight plan each season of operation.

Here are just a few of the safety precautions and procedures that we have in place:

Campers are accounted for during all hours of the day and night.
Night staff are awake all night during the summer, indoors and outdoors.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Thompson is an ACA accredited camp, a national accreditation from the American Camping Association. This means our staff and camp need to meet certain requirements and standards every year. All staff are CPR\AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certfied. We complete 60 hours of staff training; including program areas ( tower, archery, OLS) as well as Darkness 2 Light, Child Abuse and Mandating reporting training. All staff complete 3 background checks, and go through two extensive interviews for hire.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: L.I.T. is an exciting and challenging program geared toward building the participants’ leadership skills while still in a supervised and structured environment. During the program participants will develop the following leadership components: time management, leading organized activities, service learning, public speaking and listening. These valuable tools are beneficial in more than the camp community; they will be useful in life as well. Working in small groups, teens will participate in team initiatives, leadership workshops, service projects and all camp activities. As part of the course participants will create, plan and implement a 2- to 3-day back-packing trip for themselves at the end of the their course. This is a 2-week residential program but just like the younger campers, participants go home in between sessions.

The C.I.T. program focuses on leadership, communication, counseling and activity skills necessary to become a counselor. If selected, CITs may request positions lasting from three to six weeks. This is an unpaid, volunteer program. There is no fee for participation. Applications must be submitted and interviews will be conducted.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Come to Camp Thompson and enjoy a spring weekend with your family. During the weekend, camp staff will provide activities for you and your family, or you can just take time to relax in scenic Pine Grove Furnace State Park in the Michaux State Forest. All meals are included, but you are encouraged to bring your own snacks. Camp Chippewa runs for 14 weeks from May 30 through September 2 and registration for camp is done by the week to allow families flexibility to select camp weeks that work for them. Camp Chippewa also offers a variety of specialty camps including: aquatics, dance, theatre and junior lifeguarding. Camp runs from 9 AM - 4 PM each day, aftercare is included in the price of camp. Camp Towanda is now hiring Sports Instructors, Coaches and Activity Specialists, Group Leaders, Department Heads, and General Counselors! Our program consists of all the land and water sports, outdoor adventure, theatre, art and more! We offer professional paid internships in many fields including marketing, health administration, nursing, finance, hospitality, event planning, food services, sports management, media and nutrition. We work with colleges for school credit and provide mentorship opportunities.

Camp Towanda is the premier family-owned and operated, co-ed 7 week sleep-away camp in Northeast Pennsylvania for children ages 7-17. We are nestled on over 400 acres of beautiful fields, facilities, waterfront and countryside. At Camp Towanda, we provide a well-rounded experience for our campers and staff in a nurturing, safe environment with endless opportunities for them to try new things and feel great about themselves! Our program offers excellent and professional instruction in all land and water sports, fine arts, drama and adventure, as well as very creative evening activities and special events.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our camper living facilities are beautiful modern cabins, all of which have wood flooring, windows, air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Modern updated bathrooms with showers and toilet stalls, are within the cabins. The bunks are spacious with plenty of storage for camper and counselor's clothing.

Our facilities, most of which are lit for night play, include basketball courts, baseball/softball fields, hockey rinks, covered turf football/lacrosse/soccer field, grass lacrosse/football fields, grass soccer fields, indoor gymnastics center, tennis courts, volleyball courts, a heated swimming pool, extensive water park and lake toys, cardio and weight rooms, Outdoor Adventure facilities (rock walls, ropes courses, ziplines, and more), woodworking shop, arts & crafts, culinary center, spin studio, archery range, movie theater, canteen, health center and dining hall.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Westmont has been owned and operated by the Moskowitz family since its inception in 1981. Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Pocono Mountains in Wayne County, PA, Camp Westmont is situated on 400 acres of gently rolling hills with a private 100-acre lake. Westmont provides a fun-filled summer of varied activities for campers ages 6 through 16. Westmont is a co-ed camp with two very distinct campuses – boys on Boys Side and girls on Girls Side. All of our activities are on-site so Westmont’s campers do not need to travel off property to enjoy their daily activities. Westmont caters to all age groups; as our campers mature, they are afforded more freedom and diversified activities to keep them engaged, energized, and excited.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
The relationships that our counselors develop with their campers and staff make each summer unforgettable. Our counselors hail from all over the world. We are looking to hire staff for all of our summer coaching/counselor positions. Currently looking for energetic, enthusiastic individuals to work. Positions we are looking to fill include; General Camp Counselors, Lifeguards, Sports Coaches, People with experience/knowledge with 3D printing/music & instruments/small animals/reptiles/horses/go karts/trapeze & arial skills. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Every week at Nawakwa (weather permitting) begins and ends with worship at one of our beautiful outdoor worship areas; Upper Temple, Fischer Chapel or Bishop Chapel. Community living takes place everyday through Bible Study, worship, recreation, crafts, and nature study.

Our caring staff is here to guide children as they explore God's creation and their relationship in it. Campers are given the opportunity to choose how part of their week will go.
